At TREK, children build knowledge—and then do something with it.
Our focused, single-subject Expeditions complement the core curriculum families provide at home, giving children opportunities to investigate, make, solve, practice, work together and apply what they’re learning in the real world.
TREK doesn’t exist to cover content. We exist to develop capable young people.
And families don’t have to choose a different path alone. TREK brings together local families who are choosing a different way to educate their children—creating a community for children and parents alike, right here in Summit County.
BUILT TO COMPLEMENT
You provide your child’s core curriculum. TREK adds focused unit studies, hands-on investigation, real-world experiences, and opportunities to learn alongside a community of peers.
Our single-subject Expeditions create space to dig deeper—to explore a topic over time, ask bigger questions, work with real materials, and experience learning that can be difficult to recreate at home.
You build the foundation. We help bring learning to life.
CHOOSE WHAT WORKS
One Day: Choose Thursday or Friday and make TREK part of your family’s weekly rhythm.
Two Days: Join us both Thursday and Friday for a deeper TREK experience and more time learning alongside the community.

Choosing to homeschool can come with a lot of questions. Am I qualified to teach my child? Will they learn enough? What if I miss something?
A strong education doesn’t require recreating a traditional classroom at home. Children learn through books and lessons, but they also learn through building, experimenting, cooking, exploring, conversation, observation, problem-solving and everyday life.
That’s where TREK comes alongside you.
Our Expeditions give children opportunities to dig deeply into subjects, learn from experienced guides, ask questions, investigate ideas and put knowledge into practice—adding another layer to the education you’re already building at home.
You don’t have to know everything to give your child an extraordinary education.

From Common Grounds and The Commons to curriculum swaps, family resources, social events, and special member experiences, TREK gives children and parents more ways to connect, share resources, and support one another beyond their regular TREK day.

The best way to understand TREK is to experience it. Join us for a trial visit, meet our guides, spend time with the community, and see what a real TREK day looks like.
REK Homeschool Enrichment (HSE) is a community-based enrichment program for families who have chosen to direct their children’s education. HSE provides focused, single-subject unit studies, real-world learning experiences, and a consistent community where children and families can learn, connect, and grow together.
TREK HSE complements a family’s homeschool program and does not provide a comprehensive core curriculum or serve as a child’s primary academic program.
TREK Adventure Club is a Colorado nonprofit Neighborhood Youth Organization offering membership-based educational and community programming. TREK is structured to operate within applicable exemptions and does not function as a licensed childcare provider or school.
